Market Leader Comparison

GreenDIYenergy vs. Earth4Energy

The first thing I'd like to do is cut straight to the chase for my conclusion, to save you from having to pore over every detail of the review if you don't want to.

First of all, I bought
the two most popular
Windmill Power and Solar Panel DIY guides available on the internet and gave them a thorough health check of the quality of the information, the way in which it is presented, and how it measures up against my knowledge of DIY wind and solar energy.

I also di
d a lot of research across the Internet on what other people who have bought and used these products have been saying, and the feedback they gave on their experience.

My CONCLUSION?  I recommend....

(By the way, the last time I checked, GreenDIYEnergy was being discounted to the special price of $49.97. I don't know how long they'll be holding it there, so if you're keen, you'd better move quickly)

So why was GreenDIYenergy
the better choice?

To put it simply, this guide truly achieves its promise to consumers, in taking what at first appears to be a daunting task, and presenting the steps so clearly that even an absolute beginner can succeed with assembling a fully functioning windmill power turbine, and connecting it up run power into their home appliances.  In combination with the construction and installation of solar energy panels, which is also comprehensively covered, this guide will help you to achieve a significant cut to your domestic power bill.  Depending on your circumstances, this might even extend to the point of generating power credits back from your energy supplier.

Anyone who puts their mind and a little effort into building a renewable energy source for their home will be filled with confidence and will be able to reach their goal.

How about Earth4Energy?

E4E DIY home windmill power product
(I checked this price recently too, and there's clearly a discount price war going on, because Earth4Energy was also on special for $49.97 - I'm not sure for how long)

Look, in all honesty, the standard of both of these products is really terrific, they've achieved huge popularity on YouTube, been written up and endorsed in other forums such as Popular Mechanics, and truly are the real deal.

I encourage you to check out the websites for both products, to confirm for yourself our findings, but GreenDIYenergy is the overwhelming favorite Windmill Power / Solar Kit DIY guide as far as I am concerned.

Hi Jim,
Just wanted to thank you, and let you know that your recent phone review was absolutely spot on.  You've saved me lots of time and frustration, and it's great to know that I can count on you to cut through the hype and tell it like it is.
Thanks again, buddy.

More About Turning Windmill Power Into Electricity

Unless there is a gale blowing, or it is a remarkably still day, we often don't even notice the presence or lack of wind. Yet in many locations, wind gusts constantly, providing a regular (albeit intermittent) source of raw power. Not many people realize that wind is actually a form of solar energy, as its prime cause is the uneven heating of the atmosphere. The atmosphere temperature is affected by the sun, the rotation of the earth, and irregularities in the earth's surface. The flow of the wind tends to vary depending on bodies of water, vegetation, and the terrain of the earth.

To most people, recognition of the current state of wind patterns is a byproduct of their participation in recreational activities. Is it a great day for kite flying? Or perhaps for sailing? Will the open water be too choppy for good fishing due to the wind? We tend not to consider how the energy of the wind can be harnessed for power.  Although it has long been understood that windmill power can be converted to electricity, it is only in recent times that this idea has gained popular momentum. The emergence of the global warming issue has everyone thinking a little more about clean energy sources.

At present, the use of wind turbines, just like solar panels, is a growing alternative, to be used in decreasing one’s carbon footprint and reducing global warming. Just like the skyrocketing sales of solar kits, wind turbines are getting more and more popular as an increasing number of people all over the world become more socially aware of the contribution they could make toward saving the planet from complete devastation.

Home windmill power, just like the large-scale wind power produced in some industries, is created by a wind turbine. It converts kinetic energy from the wind to mechanical energy. Mechanical energy or mechanical power has long been known to be utilized in specific tasks like pumping water or grinding grains. With the use of a generator, this mechanical energy can be converted into electricity.

How does a wind turbine work? Perhaps the easiest way to answer this is by simply describing it as a device that operates like the opposite of a fan. Instead of a fan using electricity to produce wind, a wind turbine uses wind to produce electricity. Energy production happens when the wind blows, and due to the angle and shape of the fan blades, forces them to turn. The revolution of the blades spins the shaft, which is connected to a generator. Moving magnets inside that generator are used to produce electricity.

Wind turbines vary in size. The biggest ones are used in power plants that can distribute electricity to businesses, schools, and a whole community. Single small wind turbines are also available, or can be built from scratch out of simple materials, and these are the ones widely used in producing windmill power for domestic use. Typically, these turbines produce less than 100 kilowatts. Wind turbines can also be used in water pumping or telecommunications dishes.

Windmill power can be easily installed in a typical stand-alone home, and depending on the size and number of units, can significantly lower home energy bills. Commercially-produced units, which can cost several thousand dollars, come with warranties and instruction manuals for installation. Like solar panels for the home, they can be found on offer from a large number of specialist companies who may also offer an installation service. Many different windmill models can also be found on Ebay, and elsewhere on the Internet.

A much cheaper alternative is to purchase a do-it-yourself guide that explains in detail exactly how to build and install your very own small wind turbines. The best of these guides, which can cut down the cost of a fully-installed turbine to well under $200, contain all the required information, from sourcing and assembling easily-available materials to analysing the wind patterns in your area.

Utilizing windmill power in your home can help you save money, and can help save the environment.
